COAL CHAMBER APPRECIATION POST
Hey guys :) How was your day?
Coal Chamber is an alternative metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1993. Dez Fafara and Meegs Rascón formed the band She's In Pain in 1992 and, after that, they decided to create Coal Chamber. They disbanded in 2003, but announced a reunion in September 2011. Their first drummer John Thor was replaced by Mike Cox and the bassist Rayna Foss joined.
In 1997 their debut album "Coal Chamber" was released, and it spawned one single and video, "Loco". The video was also added as an extra after the ending credits of Dee Snider's film, "Strangeland". The band also did an exclusive song for the soundtrack, titled "Not Living."
The next album was "Chamber Music", two years later. Between the two releases and after the band's tour with metal act Sevendust, bassist Rayna Fossmarried Sevendust's drummer Morgan Rose and became pregnant, necessitating another bass player on tour (Nadja Peulen).
Foss came back for Coal Chamber's third album, but left after the studio sessions to raise her daughter, Kayla Moray Rose.Dark Days was released in the spring of 2002. Their only single and video was for the track 'Fiend'.

FLYLEAF APPRECIATION POST
Hey guys :)
Today was my "last day at school" this year (actually, we don't have classes anymore, but next week we still going to school because there are 6 more tests and then we're done - unless we stay in recovery, then we'll have to do more tests). Well, know no one really wants to know about my school life, so let's go... :)
Flyleaf is an American alternative metal band, formed in the Belton and Temple, Texas regions in 2000. The band has charted on mainstream rock, Christian pop and Christian metal genres. They performed around the United States in 2003 until releasing their debut album, "Flyleaf", in 2005. They released their second album "Memento Mori" on November 10, 2009 which debuted and peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard charts.
They're all Christians and their faith influences their music, but Sturm doesn't believe that necessarily makes Flyleaf strictly a Christian band. The band says they are Christians who play in a rock band, and their faith is heard within their music.
In a interview, Sturm was asked how it felt to be in a Christian rock band and play in Las Vegas:
Well, you know what? I don’t know what you mean by a “Christian rock band.” It’s hard to say that because people all have a different definition of what that means. If it means that we’re Christians, then yeah, we’re Christians, but if a plumber’s a Christian, does that make him a “Christian plumber?” I mean we’re not playing for Christians. We’re just playing honestly and that’s going to come out.
Lacey Sturm – lead vocals
Sameer Bhattacharya – lead guitar, backing vocals
Jared Hartmann – rhythm guitar
Pat Seals – bass, backing vocals
James Culpepper – drums, percussion
