PRAGUE ASTRONOMICAL CLOCK APPRECIATION POST

Hey guys :)
My uncle was traveling and he sent my dad a post card from Czech republic, and the picture was that amazing astronomical clock and I was like "OMFG I need to make a post about it" The clock was first installed in 1410, and it was made by clockmaker Mikuláš of Kadaň and Jan Šindel, making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one still working. It's mounted on the southern wall of Old Town City Hall in the Old Town Square. The clock mechanism itself is composed of three main components: the astronomical dial, representing the position of the Sun and Moon in the sky and displaying various astronomical details; "The Walk of the Apostles", a clockwork hourly show of figures of the Apostles and other moving sculptures—notably a figure of Death (represented by a skeleton) striking the time; and a calendar dial with medallions representing the months.

That's it, I'm going out now
Bye people :B

I won't write a lot today because yesterday was my brother's bday (he's 11 now LOL so many 11s) and I should be getting ready for his party. By the way, Wednesday was my bday (as I said XD) and I would like to post pictures of my presents (wtf?) but I can't do it now because I'm at my dad's house and I don't have that cable to move the pics and all :S
The point is: my aunt gave me a violin <3
I can't even believe that, I was like "is this real life?" *o*
I have this picture here because I did already put it on Twitter and on Facebook:

I want to give it a name, what do you think? Any suggestions? XD

Ok, I have less than an hour now, and I'm not sure about my clothes, so I'm going ^^"

RUROUNI KENSHIN APPRECIATION POST

Hello :)
So today it will be a small post because I have a Portuguese test tomorrow :'D
Rurouni Kenshin (aka Samurai X) tells the story of a guy called Himura Kenshin, formerly known as the assassin "Hitokiri Battōsai", who was an assassin of utmost skill in the Meiji restoration (Bakumatsu war). After the war, he wanders the countryside of Japan offering protection and aid to those in need as atonement for the murders he committed. When arriving in Tokyo, he meets a young woman named Kamiya Kaoru, who was in the middle of a fight with a murderer who claims to be the Hitokiri Battōsai from her swordsmanship school. Kenshin decides to help her and defeats the fake Battōsai. After discovering that Kenshin is the real Battōsai, she offers him a place to stay at her dojo as she notes Kenshin is a gentle person instead. He accepts and they meet a lot of people like Sagara Sanosuke, a former Sekihō Army member; Myōjin Yahiko, an orphan from a samurai family; and a doctor named Takani Megumi. However, he also deals with his fair share of enemies.

Information from wikipedia and from that website I used on the posts about Jigou Shoujo and Mushishi :3

That's it, I hope you like it, it's one of my favorite animes *o*
Take care :D

EUROVISION APPRECIATION POST

Hey guys, how was your weekend?
I couldn't post because I had a test Saturday (!) and then I went to a park with some friends to a park to record a video for a school project (I'll post the video when we finish it ◡‿●✯) and it was an anime event and that's it :B

BTW, today's post will be about Eurovision Song Contest. It's a music contest created by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) on 12th February 1950.It was on the 6th of June, 1954, that Montreux became the venue for the first transmission by the EBU's Eurovision Network of the Narcissus Festival and its flower-bedecked procession floats.
In 1955, the EBU came up with the idea of an international song contest whereby countries, represeted by their respective public broadcasters, would participate in one television show, to be transmitted simultaneously in all represented nations.
The idea was conceived during a meeting in Monaco in 1955 by Marcel Bezençon, a Frenchman working for the EBU and was based upon the Italian Festival di Sanremo, held for the first time in 1951, and was also seen as a technological experiment in live television.
ESC has been broadcast every year since 1956 and, in 2003, Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place. The competition's broadcast in Europe, Australia, Canada, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Jordan, Korea, New Zealand and the United States.

Info from ESC official website. They already started talking about ESC 2012 *-*

(They won :B)

(me after recording the video LOL)

That's it, I'll do my homework :)
 Have a nice week o/

MUSHISHI APPRECIATION POST

Hi :)
Today I was doing a philosophy project and I just started thinking about anime (?) and I remembered that one called Mushishi, because I used to watch it on the same TV channel as Jigoku Shoujo ^-^
This one is about a guy called Ginko who investigate that little things called Mushi (so he's a mushi-shi). They're "things" because they aren't neither animals, plants nor fungi. In the process, he also lends a helping hand to people who face problems with supernatural occurances related to the Mushi.

That's it ✿◠‿◠
Bye

JIGOKU SHOUJO APPRECIATION POST

Hey guys, how are you?
Today I was thinking about what to post, and I thought about a lot of pop singers/bands (mostly ppl who represented countries on Eurovision this year XD) but I didn't want to talk about them because I'm not listening to pop recently ^-^" and them I remembered this horror/drama/whatever anime/manga/live action that I used to watch and have to start again because it's amazing \o/

Basically, Jigoku Shoujo (地獄少女), also known as Hell Girl, tells the story of a supernatural website where people can take revenge by having other people sent to Hell via the services of Enma Ai and her assistants. Most of the episodes tells a short story showing the suffering of a random person. When they can't stand anymore, they acess the Hell Correspondence website. Then, Ai gives the person a little straw doll with a red string around it's neck. When the person pulls the string, Enma Ai come to punish the person and, after that, send he/she to hell.
By the way, initially, people contacted the Hell Girl writing the names of whom they hated on an ema, which later changed to sending a letter to the address appearing in a three-column newspaper advertisement only visible to those with enough hatred.
Each medium can only be used at midnight, and Enma will take the client to a realm of perpetual twilight where she offers them the doll, one of her companions, and describe to the client the details of their contract. However, when the client dies, he or she, too, will go to Hell, and a black crest-shaped mark appears on the client's chest to serve as a permanent reminder of this and their decision to send someone to Hell.

Official website: http://www.jigokushoujo.com/ (in Japanese)

Information from wikipedia, because they kind of put into words what I was thinking ^-^"
There's a real hotline to hell where you can write a name and all. And it won't take no one to hell, so you can still be happy and go to heaven ^-^ BTW I don't know if a person who desires another one's suffering deserves going to heaven
I found this swebsite where you can find the episodes, but I didn't started watching yet, but it looks good ^///^

That's it, I hope you like it :3
I think it's a good anime to think about to, about hating things....we should think more about that since we're always saying "I hate this" and all :S
 Take care o/
