NEUE DEUTSCHE HÄRTE APPRECIATION POST

Hey again ^-^
So, this post is not (I think "isn't" sounds terrible D:) about a band, is about a musical style. I usually don't even know much about this because I don't like to label things, but since I didn't explained very well on the last post and it sounds like a good chance to know lots of good bands. And because I'd never heard anything about this before XD
As I said on the las post, Neue Deutsche härte is a term invented by the German music press after the release of the debut album Herzeleid (1995) by Rammstein. The style is influenced by industrial metal, German rock, hard rock, groove metal, and alternative metal combining it with elements from electronic music and techno. The lyrics are generally in German, sometimes with Latin words or terms. It uses the basic setup of instruments for metal (electric guitar, bass guitar, drums and vocals), with keyboard, synthesizers and samples. Emphasis is on a demonstration of predominance, by over-pronouncing certain syllables and letters. The vocals are thus dominantly presenting in deep, male, and clean voice, and screaming is also common.

NDH imagery is often violent, and sometimes Satanic or militaristic, the latter is especially common among the more industrial-sounding bands. However, lovelorn lyrics are not uncommon and subject matter can be very diverse.

Some examples of NDH: Eisbrecher ; Oomph! ; Rammstein ; ASP ; Die Apokalyptischen Reiter ; Emigrate (led by Richard Z. Kruspe, the lead guitarist of Rammstein.); In Extremo ; L'Âme Immortelle ; Leichenwetter (They perform the lyrics written by dead German poets by using musical influences of metal and gothic); Megaherz , etc.

(Yes, I found definitions and examples on wikipedia XD)

Some videos:

That's it ^-^
there's lots of possible posts here, and a lot more on the wikipedia page, since I didn't listened to all the bands  there XD
 Bye
